The Slack app is available on all Hopin plans.
What are the capabilities of the Hopin<>Slack integration?
The Slack app sends a message to Slack anytime someone registers for one of your events.
What data is being synced between Hopin<>Slack
We are currently sending First Name and Last Name from Hopin to a Slack channel.
How do I set up the Slack integration?
1. Follow the instructions here to get a Slack webhook.
2. To get started, you will need to install the Slack app to your Hopin Organization. You can access the app store by going to your Organization Dashboard and heading to the Apps tab. Then click on Discover More on App Store.
You can find Slack by following this link to go directly to the installation page. Click Install app to add the Slack app to your Organization.
3. When prompted paste your Slack webhook URL from step 1 above, then click the Install button to proceed.
4. You'll receive a confirmation that the webhook has been installed successfully; now register for any of the events on your organization, and you'll receive a message in Slack. You're now ready to go!
