What plans is the Action Button integration available on?

Action Button integration is available to all Hopin plans.

What are the capabilities of the Action Button integration?

The Action Button integration drives audience engagement by getting them to act! You can create Polls, Quizzes, Donations, Petition/Pledge, Volunteer locally, Contact legislators, Register to vote, Record a message/video, and more.


How do I set up the Action Button integration?

  1. After installing the Action Button integration, choose an event and navigate to the relevant area of your event dashboard (Event Dashboard > Venue and then choose Stage, Session or Expo). In the Integrations section of the configuration page, you'll see fields that will allow you to configure Action Button for your event. You will need to provide the Tab Name (ex. "Interact"), the Widget Id (see in the next step how to get it) and check "Action Button Enabled". Don't forget to save the session.


  2. The Action Button Widget Id can be obtained from your shared Action Button link. Go to your Action Button account and get the shared link of the interaction you built for your event.


  3. The Widget Id will be the very ending part of the URL. Example: for the following Action Button shared URL:**SPK-R0NISA==** The Widget Id will be "SPK-R0NISA=="

  4. After saving the session in your event dashboard you can use the 'Preview Event' button in the top righthand corner to check the Action Button app in the relevant event area:


  5. Now your audience can experience Action Button within Hopin in the right-hand side panel.
