Setting Buzz Radar up on the Hopin platform

How do I set up the Buzz Radar app?

What are the capabilities of the Buzz Radar app?

Create stunning data visualization and dive deeper into the social media buzz created around your events. Simply plug-in your social accounts & event hashtags to get started.

Easily build & customize from a library of over 50 visualizations and leverage AI moderation tools to decide what is displayed.

This app is currently only available within the App area of Hopin. 

What plans is the Buzz Radar app available on?

This app is available to Business and Enterprise Hopin plans. 

What attendee data is shared between the Buzz Radar app and Hopin?

Hopin and the Buzz Radar app do not share any attendee data between them.

How do I set up the Buzz Radar app?

You’ll need a Buzz Radar account to use this app. Check out their pricing plans.

To get started, you will need to install the Buzz Radar app to your Hopin Organization. You can access the App Store by going to your Organization Dashboard and heading to the Apps tab. Then click on Discover More on App Store. 

image4.pngYou can find Buzz Radar under the Social Media category, or you can follow this link to go directly to the page. Click Install app to add the Buzz Radar app to your Organization.


Next, navigate to your Buzz Radar account and get the public URL of your Buzz Radar and paste it into a text editor.

You will need to find the Unique Key that will be provided by the Buzz Radar team. This field is in bold in the example below.[Unique Key]

Make a note of this Unique Key.

Next, head back to your Hopin event and go to your Event Dashboard > Venue > App and:

  • Select Buzz Radar as the App for the area.
  • Input the Unique Key you obtained above.
  • Input the Menu Label for the App area.
Note: Make sure you have the App Area enabled.


Note: If you haven’t installed the Buzz Radar app yet it will not show up in the dropdown menu. In this case, click on the Explore App Store button and you will be sent to the App Store page with apps eligible for the App Area. There you will be able to find and install the Buzz Radar app.

Click Save and your attendees will see the App area in the left panel of your event.
