Has your event finished but you need a few minutes more to wrap things up? Maybe a presentation ran a little long, or perhaps your Attendees are just having so much fun networking! Not to worry, you can now extend your event after the official "end" time. Here's how.

Once you have reached the set end time of your event (that you set in your Event Dashboard > Setup > Basics page), both you and your Attendees will still have access to the event for an additional 10 minutes before the post event survey is displayed and everyone is directed away from the event.

Halfway through these 10 minutes (5 minutes after your event has officially "ended"), Organizers will be sent a notification asking if you would like to extend your event.

Simply click Extend by 15m to extend your event for an additional 15 minutes.

Alternatively, click Don't extend if you don't require any additional time.

Note: All Organizers inside the event will be shown the notification, and any can choose to extend the event.

If you choose to extend the event, the Organizers will see an additional notification to let them know the event has been extended, and by whom.

You can hover over this notification and click Dismiss to hide this notification.

Note: Attendees will not see this notification, but if you would like to let them know that the event has been extended, you can always send an announcement

If you missed the notifications, they will also be displayed in your notifications tab.

Once the 15 minutes are up, everyone inside the event will be sent the post-event survey and directed away from the event.

Note: You cannot extend the same event more than once.

So, how long can I extend my event for?

After your event end time (as set in your Event Dashboard > Setup > Basics page), there is a 10 minutes "closed door" period that allows you to wrap everything up.

If you choose to extend your event for an additional 15 minutes, this will be added on to the end of the "closed door" time.

Therefore, you will have an additional 25 minutes after your official end time.

Note: You can only choose to extend your event for 15 minutes or to dismiss the notification. You cannot specify how long you wish to extend your event for.
Example:

Event end time = 12:00

Closed doors end time = 12:10

Extend event = +15 minutes

New event end time = 12:25
